Samsung has just made official the date of the announcement of Galaxy Note 9, and even shared a small video. The announcement date had leaked previously, but this time it’s official: August 9th. This is ideal moment for the South Korean manufacturer who can monopolize the media space until the events in September (IFA expo and Apple keynote are coming then). The short video shared by Samsung presents in more detail S-Pen, but is difficult to say if this is a new version or the same old one. Alas, almost the same can be said for Galaxy Note 9.

First leaks of Note 9 demonstrated a design almost identical to the previous model, except for the change of position of the fingerprint reader (which will be a little lower to improve the ergonomics) and few millimeters decreased height. For the rest of the specs, it is expected that Note 9 will repeat Galaxy S9 with 6 or 8 GB RAM, Snagdragon 845 SoC and a choice of 64, 256 or 512 GB internal memory (which will be first for a smartphone).

Quite probably, the price of this model could exceed €1000 and approach the astronomical pricing of iPhone X. The launch will take place in New York in a dedicated Samsung event.
